As Web Summit returned to Doha for its landmark 2026 edition, our team delivered one of the most ambitious broadcast and live‑production operations ever executed in the region. We provided broadcast equipment and crew to more than 7 stages, a podcast studio, and two major partners inside Web Summit. We have delivered Qatar’s flagship tech event into a seamless, multi‑platform broadcast experience watched across the world. This year’s deployment showcased not only technical scale, but a commitment to precision and reliability.
High‑Performance Production Units
To support Web Summit’s expanded footprint in 2026, we engineered a fully integrated broadcast environment spanning:
Center stage with Panasonic Kairos and ST2110 workflow, featuring the Panasonic UC4000 camera with two Canon UJ111x box lenses, one Canon CJ45x telephoto lens, and one CJ14x. We have also utilized the Panasonic AW-UB10 which was perfect for the beauty shot for its small form factor.
7 main stages with full live‑production workflows using our compact production units.
1 podcast booth designed for rapid‑turnaround content
2 partner broadcast operations for NUQ / WMP and QRDI, each with bespoke technical requirements.
Across all venues, our teams delivered synchronized live feeds, IMAG, remote contribution, and streaming outputs tailored for Web Summit’s global audience.
To meet the demands of simultaneous sessions, back-to-back keynotes, and rapid stage turnovers, we have deployed our new presentation suites.
These presentation suites eliminate the need for a larger space to accommodate 6 laptops, instead, packed in one fly-away kit are two Mac Minis for Keynotes, two Dell Optiplex mini PCs for Powerpoint, and a touch-screen nuc for the stage timer.
To speed up the back-up process of the recordings, all recorders across the venue are interconnected with 10Gbe network. This ensures that the recordings of each session are copied and backed up immediately without even removing the media from the recorders.
In total, we have deployed 21 cameras across the venue. The camera package included Panasonic UC4000, AW‑UE150, CX350, UB‑10, Blackmagic URSA, Sony FX3, and Sony FX9.
All stages were streamed live to Web Summit’s platforms. Our workflow ensured ultra‑low latency, redundant encoding paths, real‑time monitoring, and seamless integration with Web Summit’s digital ecosystem.
A Milestone for Qatar’s Event Production Landscape
Web Summit Qatar 2026 demonstrated what’s possible when technical ambition meets disciplined execution. Our team delivered a broadcast operation that matched the scale, energy, and innovation of one of the world’s most influential technology gatherings.
1507.media is proud to be part of this year’s production which has set a new benchmark for live events in the region.
